Board of Trustees

Indiana State University, Terre Haute, Indiana

The national headquarters of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity strongly advises that each active undergraduate chapter establish and maintain a Board of Trustees.  The purpose of the board is to reduce the demands placed on the chapter advisor by providing specialized services to the active chapter in areas such as leadership and career development, scholarship, finances, alumni relations and more.  Overall, the board serves as a mentoring and advising body to the active chapter.

Beginning with the 2008-09 academic year, the Zeta Omicron Chapter will be working with ATO National Headquarters on a Assessment Program pilot study focused on identifying areas of strength and weakness at the chapter level, then designing a program of intervention and support to bolster specific areas of individual member growth, learning, and development.  It is anticipated that ample opportunities will be created for alumni seeking to become more actively involved with the active chapter but have limited time available in their personal and professional schedules.  As the pilot program becomes more established, information will be distributed to our alumni membership asking for your help.
