Student Academic Services Center

 

 

The Student Academic Services Center held its fifth annual Honors Convocation on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 to honor students who have achieved excellence in the classroom.  Speakers included Indiana State University Provost Dr. Jack Maynard,  Dr. Catherine Baker (SASC Director), Dr. Michael Chambers (Lumina Scholar Presentation), Carly Robbins(2008 Lumina Scholar Award Recipient),  and others.  The Honors Convocation includes many different awards and recognitions.  The descriptions below offer a detailed list of what each award recognizes.  To view a listing of students who received awards you can click on the award title.

   

LUMINA SCHOLAR AWARD

Award for a 21st Century Scholar who demonstrates dedication to academic and personal excellence, has outstanding leadership skills, has developed a positive connection with the University and community, and has marked achievement in academic and personal goals.

 

SASC HONOR ROLL

This list honors those students who have achieved excellence in the classroom with a 3.00 grade point average in fall 2005.

 

SASC DEAN'S LIST

This recognizes those students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement in the classroom with a 3.75 or higher grade point average in fall 2005.

 

SASC 4.0 CLUB

This award is given to those individuals who have attained the perfect grade point average of a 4.0 during fall 2005 semester.

 

STAR STUDENT

A very prestigious award recognizing two students who have utilized the services of the SASC, while demonstrating dedication to academic and personal excellence.
