Sandison Hall

Sandison Hall which is coed and houses 218 students in premium rooms.  It will offer theme housing for those majoring in Nursing or Athletic Training as well as being the new home for the LLC (Leadership Learning Community).

Amenities include: TV lounge, laundry facilities, nursing lounge, meeting space, vending area and is close to Lincoln Dining.  Each room is equipped with one wired Ethernet outlet , basic cable TV, telephone jack (which can be activated for an additional monthly charge), and there is wireless internet service throughout the hall.

Sandison Hall is connected to Hulman Memorial Student Union (HMSU). The Commons, which is located in HMSU, is part of ISU Dining Services and offers a variety of restaurants, ICON and a convenience store. Each hall is air-conditioned and offers a lounge on the first floor.

In addition to a Resident Advisor (RA) on each floor, there is 24-hour emergency maintenance and desk operation in each hall.  Each hall has a centralized fire alarm and smoke detectors in each student room. All halls are ADA accessible and smoke free.  There is one emergency telephone located on each floor.  

Sandison offers premium rooms which are air-conditioned, double occupancy with private bath. Each room has a bed, desk, desk chair, dresser and closet area for each resident. Beds in Sandison can be bunked or students can rent a loft.

Each floor has a Resident Assistant (RA) who is there to assist the residents, program for the floor/hall and to make sure the floor is conducive for both studying and sleeping. In Addition, Sandison Hall has one Academic Peer Advocate(APA) for Athletic Training students assist them with their academic transition to ISU. There are two Leadership Peer Advocates (LPA) on the LLC floors to help students with their leadership skills and community service projects.

Athletic Training Themed Housing is part of our First Year Initiative Program for incoming first year students.  Nursing and LLC are part of our increasing Living Learning Communities that reach a broader audience.
