Residential Life offers many housing options for students. Convenient, close to everything and affordable! Living on campus provides you easy access to academic buildings, the new Student Rec. Center, the Commons, sporting events, and the library. Everything you need is a short walk from your residence hall. In addition to being at the center of campus activities, living on campus is a great value. Living on campus saves you time, money and the hassle of commuting to campus everyday.
There are eleven (11) residence halls on the ISU campus. The
residence halls offer a variety of lifestyle options: Academic Theme
Communities, First Year Initiative (FYI) program, Greek housing, leadership community, suite style living, and quiet floors.
Each residence hall is part of a larger housing complex. All residence halls have live-in staff there 24/7 to assist students. Living on campus is fun, rewarding and a great opportunity to build lifelong friendships.
ISU residence halls have live-in professional staff (Area Directors), Graduate staff (Assistant Hall Directors), and student staff (Resident Assistants). The First Year Initiative Halls (Blumberg, Cromwell and Burford) have academically focused staff (Academic Peer Advocates) to assist first year students in their academic transition to the university. Each hall also has a 24-hour front desk operation to assist with student concerns.
Student rooms are equipped with free cable TV and both hardwire LAN and wireless internet is available. All residence halls are ADA accessible. Indiana State University is a smoke free campus including all of our residence halls.
There are emergency only phones located on each floor.
