SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS

There are numerous scholarships and awards available for students in the Recreation and Sport Management major. They are listed below along with links to the application forms.

Around the middle of each Fall semester we make announcements in classes, put up flyers and put a notice on the web site that applications are being taken for these scholarships and awards. The deadline for submitting applications is typically near the end of the Fall semester. Be sure to confirm the exact deadline date. A faculty committee reviews applications to determine the best candidate. Scholarship and award recipients are acknowledged at either our department spring banquet or during the College of Nursing, Health and Human Services spring awards banquet.

As indicated below, each scholarship/award has its own requirements for gpa, interest area, activity involvement, full-time status, class standing, and/or number of hours in the major. There may be other requirements, so please read each one carefully. If you have any questions about the scholarships/awards or the application process, come by the office and speak with our office manager, Linda Swift.

Click on the scholarship or award title for the application form. Fill them out and turn them in to Linda during the application period only.
