Recreation Therapy Concentration

The Recreation Therapy Concentration prepares students to primarily work in treatment settings as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS). In this capacity, the CTRS will be part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, assessing clients/patients, developing individualized treatment plans, apply a variety of recreation and leisure oriented interventions and helping clients/patients make a successful transition back to their homes and community.
