ISU Field Campus

The Indiana State University Field Campus is an outdoor teaching, learning, and research area designed to accommodate educational programs and services. The field campus is located on a scenic 80 acre plot of land located approximately 18 miles east of Terre Haute and is administered through the Department of Recreation and Sport Management. The campus consists of 8 lakes, which are fed through an underground water supply and covers 42 acres, and several acres of wooded area. The field campus also houses our Keystone Adventure Program which consists of a variety of challenge courses and group initiative activities provided by trained facilitators through our department. In addition, ten platform tents and full-sized classroom facilities make the ISU Field Campus a popular destination for a variety of groups.

Open Field Campus:

The ISU Field Campus provides students, staff and faculty members weekend access to the various natural resources and facilities. Hours of operation are Sundays,    9 A.M. to 7 P.M.,  from April 1 to November 1.

Available activities include:

**A current Indiana State University ID is required. Guests are welcome.

Overnight Camping:

overnight camping facilitiesOrganized groups such as ones from university and community groups; clubs; schools; and organizations can take advantage of the overnight camping facilities at the Field Campus.

Kitchen facilities, showers and restrooms are available as well as platform tents and fire pits for cooking.

**Advanced group registration is required for all day and overnight camping.

With our climate controlled classroom building, restrooms, showers, full-service kitchen, covered shelter, lakes, trails and natural environment, the Field Campus provides a casual, cost-friendly retreat atmosphere. If you are planning for multiple days of meetings and need business-class overnight accommodations, there are hotels within easy driving distance in Brazil, IN or at the intersection of I70 and Hwy. 59.
