Graduate Program Admission

The qualifications for consideration and subsequent acceptance into this specific graduate program are as follows.

A student will be admitted to regular graduate status if the following requirements are met:

  • Students must have earned an undergraduate degree.
  • Students must meet all admission requirements of the School of Graduate Studies. This includes an undergraduate GPA of 2.7, or a 3.0 GPA for the last 60 hours of undergraduate work, or a minimum combined verbal and quantitative GRE score of 800. International students must have a minimum TOEFL score of 550.
  • Students are expected to have completed an undergraduate major in recreation, sport, physical education, business, or related field.

A student may be required to meet an additional department condition if he or she does not meet the undergraduate major requirement indicated above.

  • Students without a recreation, sport, physical education, business, or related undergraduate major will be required to take RCSM 510 as a prerequisite.
