Wabash Valley Flooding
As the citizens of the Wabash Valley continue to deal with the
aftermath of the recent flooding, the University community is
prepared to assist with both short and long-term relief efforts.
The Center for Public Service and Community Engagement will
coordinate the campus response. Additional Information about
donating, volunteering, and seeking assistance is available on the

FLOOD RELIEF CENTER ESTABLISHED
The Vigo County Volunteer Service Center for flood relief
has been established at the Wabash Valley Fairgrounds. Those
wishing to volunteer should be at the volunteer center any day,
Monday through Saturday (no Sundays) at 8 a.m. The center will
provide you with the necessary waivers, instructions for the day, as
well as directions to the site and you will be deployed by 8:15 a.m.
Work will continue until 4 p.m. at which time volunteers will return
to the Service Center to clean and return tools. Contact

Employees who are wishing to volunteer a day for flood relief may do
so through this service center. The center is operated by
Operation Blessing, a national relief organization that partners
with Indiana Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster. The
Volunteer Service Center is located at 3901 US 41 South in the
Drivers Education Building of the Wabash Valley Fairgrounds.
Housing is available for groups coming from out of town.
