About Institutional Computing Services

Institutional Computing Services (ICS) is responsible for most enterprise administrative systems across campus. The list of services provided range from Document Imaging to On-Line Course Delivery to Banner Enterprise Administrative System to the University ID and account provisioning. ICS is responsible for the development, installation, integration, maintenance and support of nearly 50 different products to support the administrative functions of our university.

ICS will provide the community with timely, effective and meaningful solutions for accessing centralized information.

Kevin Smith, Director

Kevin has nearly 20 years of experience working within the ICS department at Indiana State. During those twenty years, he has been a part of a development team that converted from a mainframe IA+ system to Client/Server Banner in 1996. The university’s work and leadership with DARS/Banner integrations led to his serving on the first DARS Client Advisory Board and he is a member of the Educause Management cohort. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Indiana State University.
