Lambda Sigma Chapter
History of Lambda Sigma Chapter
Lambda Sigma Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International was chartered at
ISU on April 20, 1990. Started in 1972 as the Student Honor
Society within the ISU School of Nursing, it is now a chapter of the
International Honor Society of Nursing. Sigma Theta Tau was
incorporated in Indiana in 1922 and restructured in 1955. Be sure to

Purposes
Lambda Sigma's purposes include

The organization strives to
develop new ways to acknowledge excellence and honor outstanding
achievement in nursing research.
Goals of Lambda Sigma
- To continue to support our scholarship program
- To expand our chapter fundraising activities
- To increase both student and public awareness of the goals and
activities of our Chapter
- To increase student participation in Chapter activities, meetings, and
scholarly programs
- To improve our membership drive efforts
