Lea Hall graduated with a BSN from the
University of Alabama
at Birmingham in 1997. She completed an MS with a major in
Nursing from Indiana State University in 2001 and has been in practice
as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner since then. She has been
an instructor at Indiana State University since 2000, first as an
adjunct faculty member. Since 2003, she has been the Clinical
Coordinator and Instructor in the
Family Nurse Practitioner
concentration of the Nursing Master's Degree program. She continues to
practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner for a local endocrinologist. She
is currently a Ph.D. candidate in
Curriculum and Instruction at Indiana State University. As of
July 1, 2007, she is an Assistant Professor in the nursing program.
Lea's areas of interest include teaching with technology and diabetes
prevention and management. She is a member of the
National League for
Nursing, Society of Advanced Practice Nurses, National
Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculty,
Sigma Theta Tau
International Honor Society,
Phi Kappa Phi
Honor Society, and Who’s Who in Health Science Education.
