About ISU Today
The Office of Communications and Marketing produces ISU Today, the daily electronic newsletter for Indiana State University. ISU Today is provided to all faculty and staff via e-mail. Students and friends of the university may subscribe to ISU Today. The MyISU Portal is the official communications vehicle for students. The following guidelines have been established for ISU Today submissions. CYBERWIRE in an electronic newsletter which serves as a regular communication vehicle between the university's central administration and the campus community.
- ISU Today items will run a maximum of TWO times.
- All submissions must be received by 3 p.m. the day before they are to run (3 p.m. Fridays for Monday items).
- Attachments are not permitted. If additional information is needed beyond the message's content, such additional information should be posted online by the office submitting the message with a link to the additional information.
Special e-mail announcements from Communications and Marketing will be limited to significant items of an urgent nature. Special e-mails will not be used to communicate items that could have been sent via ISU Today or to accommodate missed ISU Today deadlines.
In addition, the use of targeted e-mail announcements sent through the MyISU portal will be limited to student groups and subgroups of the employee group. Individual messages for workshops, events and other announcements for faculty and staff should be submitted for ISU Today or placed on the MyISU portal.
Items must have a direct relationship to the university. Commercial advertisements for for-profit entities are not permitted. Notices of non-profit fundraising activities and events must have a general university connection such as an ISU team being formed for the Race for the Cure, etc.
To submit items for consideration in ISU Today, send an e-mail to isu-community@indstate.edu with the subject, text, and return information for follow-up questions and comments (such as the name, email address, phone number and department/office of the sender). An online form will soon be available for your convenience.
University faculty and staff automatically receive ISU Today. Others wishing to subscribe may do so by clicking here and clicking "Send" on your email application. You will receive an email with a link to finalize your subscription. Click that link, and you should be sent one more email clarifying your subscription to ISU Today.
