Use on University Owned Computers
The Microsoft Campus Agreement 3.4 (MSCA) is an annual licensing program that allows
faculty and staff to install supported
software products on all University owned computers.
The department head is responsible, within his or her unit, for compliance
with software license terms. Each department is also responsible for keeping track
of the number of copies installed of each supported software product on
each computer. Upon request from Information Technology, these records
must be made available for summarizing University utilization of the Campus
Agreement. Also, if ISU decided not to renew the Campus Agreement, the
department would need these records. For more information, visit the
MSCA Frequently Asked Questions and see the question,
"What
if ISU decides not to renew the Microsoft Campus Agreement".
Departments can purchase a single copy of the supported software and
install it on multiple computers within the department. The software will
be distributed on CDs only.
The department heads or their representatives can order software by doing the following:
- Order software at
http://www1.indstate.edu/mcsa/ordrmsca.html. Billing for
software will be done using an intramural voucher. The department will
receive an email when the order is completed.
- Bring the email message you received verifying that your order is ready,
your ISU ID, and the signed MSCA license agreement
to the Help Desk in the SCC (Student Computing Complex) room 127.
After you have shown your ID and signed the pickup order form you will be given
copies of the software.
IMPORTANT:
- Your ISU ID will be required to pickup software.
- Departments can order only one copy of each software package
(either Windows or Macintosh).
Departments may not loan CDs to individuals for use on personally owned
computers. Faculty and staff must purchase a separate copy of the software. For more
details, see the MSCA Frequently Asked Questions web page or
Use on Personally Owned Computers.
If you have questions, please refer to the
MSCA Frequently Asked Questions web page, or send an email to
