
Language Studies Minor
(18 hours) includes:

LLL200 "Introduction to Language and Culture for
Students of Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics" (3 hrs.)--
Required of all majors and minors so you become
part of a community of language learners at ISU.

3 hours in a second language or linguistics area
course--
May be at the 100-level. Options can be a
language (including Arabic, Japanese, Chinese, etc.) or linguistics
(Teaching English as a Second Language, Introduction to Linguistics,
etc.)

12 hours in your language(s) of choice, at least 6 of
which at the 300/400 level--
French, German, Latin, Spanish, TESL (Teaching English as
a Second Language), or even Arabic, Chinese,
Japanese, or another language if you have appropriate background for
credit by examination, transfer credits, or study abroad.
Minimum 2.5 GPA in all course work in the minor is
required.
