Focus Indiana has provided funding to some departments at ISU in support of developing internship programs. The departments selected have not maximized usage of internships, may have difficulty finding appropriate experiences for students, and have expressed interest in promotion of experiential learning for their students. Departments most frequently use the funds to "create" their programs, including but not limited to creation of protocol for engagement in internship, defining course expectations, means of offering academic credit for experience, and supervision of the program. Departments have also used funds to support scholarships for students.
