J. LARRY HEATH PROFESSOR

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

• University of California at Los Angeles, Ed.D. in Vocational Education, 1967.

• California State University at Chico, M.S. Degree in Technology Education, 1963.

• California State University at Chico, B.S. Degree in Technology Education, 1961.

EXPERIENCE:

• Dr. Heath has worked as an industrial trainer and is very active in the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Robotics International Division.

• His work experience has been in the area of electronics education and industrial training in the fields of robotics, electronics, and industrial automation.

• Some of his major areas of interest include: robotics-material handling, assembly, painting, welding; machine vision-inspection, and pattern matching; and automated manufacturing-CNC programming and operation, production layout, and planning.

• He has written several textbooks in robotics and automated manufacturing as well as electronics; these texts include theoretical as well as laboratory based materials.
