EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

 

  • Nova Southeastern, PhD in Computing Technology in Education, in-progress.

  • Indiana State University, M.S. Degree in Industrial Professional Technology, 2001.

  • Indiana State University, B.S. Degree in Electronics Technology, 1974.

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Mr. Ashby has been a member of the ECT department faculty since fall semester 2003.

  • He entered the education field at the university level after twenty-eight years of experience in the Industrial Automation and Control Systems Integration fields.

  • Joe has specific experience in the Steel, Paper, Plastics, Power Generation, Machine Tool and Automotive power-train industries. 

  • His background includes work as a maintenance supervisor, plant project engineer, construction engineer, teacher, owner of a systems integration business, and automation project engineer for a major automation OEM.
