Commuter Scholarships
A limited number of Commuter Scholarships are offered for the fall and spring semesters.
Eligibility
New or current undergraduate students who have achieved junior standing (63 credits or more) may be eligible for this scholarship if they satisfy the following:
- Good academic and conduct standing with ISU; and
- Meet the definition of a commuter student or new transfer (for example, one who for a variety of reasons is unable to live in campus housing).
About This Scholarship
A limited number of scholarships are available, with awards up to $2,000.00 per year. Scholarships will be awarded for two semesters with the possibility to renew by petition for an additional semester or term. Scholarships are available for juniors and seniors.
Maximum awards for expenses covered by the scholarships are:
- Childcare: $200.00 (must apply for voucher assistance and then to be used only in the interim)
- Distance delivery fee: $30.00 (per semester)
- Music lab fee: $25.00
- Parking permits: $85.00
- Recreation fee: $100.00
- Textbooks: $250.00 per semester (maximum of $500.00 per year)
- Travel expenses: $200.00 per semester
Deadline
To be considered for this scholarship, students must be admitted to Indiana State University and submit the scholarship application below. The scholarship application must be postmarked or submitted no later than August 10 (for fall semester) or December 10 (for spring semester).
