Mission Statement

This website is intended to reflect the evolving and dynamic nature of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV). In our efforts to increase public awareness and prevention, we hope to provide you with current education, research and resources.

To achieve this goal, strategies to increase awareness about these problems include:

• Conducting interdisciplinary research focusing on different types of interpersonal or family violence.

• Creating a class focusing on the concept of family violence.

• Developing public awareness campaigns to educate members of the public about family violence including sharing stories of hope.

• Evaluating programs and processes used with family violence victims and offenders.

• Establishing partnerships with various agencies, groups, and organizations handling or responding to family violence cases.
