Spring 2007, SNAP software was selected and implemented as the University's
web-based survey tool, replacing the older WebForms software. WebForms
will be available until June 30, 2008. After that date, WebForms
software will be discontinued on campus and the server will be taken
out of service, so any old surveys must be migrated, and any data must
be saved in a different location, before then. All new survey activity
should be done in SNAP.
For more information, please see the
Survey Creation Software FAQ.
You will need a SNAP account in order to publish online surveys and collect data.
To request an account, contact the OIT Help Desk (phone 237-2910, email
it-help@indstate.edu). Be prepared to supply your
ISU ID (991) number when you make your request.
Note to Students: CIRT must receive written approval from a faculty sponsor before a
SNAP account will be created for any student. The faculty sponsor may send the written
approval via e-mail to
cirt-research@indstate.edu,
or via campus mail to Center for Instruction, Research and Technology; ATTN Evaluation and Research Support
Services; Normal Hall, Lower Level.
SNAP training is available. See our current
workshop schedule
to register online. If you need to set up a private consultation, please contact Evaluation
and Research Support Services (phone 237-2953, e-mail
