Joy K. Bensiger joined the CIRT (Center for Instruction, Research and Technology) team as the Emerging Technology and Research Support Coordinator in November 2007. His responsibilities includes, experimenting new emerging information technologies using various methods; analyze trends and products to determine ways these emerging technologies could be integrated into higher education.

Joy has his Masters degree in Commerce from the American college, Madurai, India. He also has his Masters degree in Instructional Design and Technology from the University of Cincinnati. Currently Joy is a doctoral candidate (ABD) in Education Knowledge and Technology at the University of Cincinnati.

Beginning his career as sales manager in various software and hardware related products in India, Joy has gathered excellent experience in teaching multimedia courses for graduate students at the University Cincinnati. His passion towards developing e-Learning courses, got him the opportunity to work as senior Instructional Designer and Technology Coordinator for both corporate and academic Institutions. He designed and developed several modules for various clients such as AFIT (Air Force Institute of Technology, Dayton, OH), University of Cincinnati, P&G (Proctor and Gamble), Tiffany and Company, and Cadburys. He also has experience in designing and developing distance learning courses for Universities and colleges, designing and deploying simulations for various software applications. His strong technical aptitude and desire to keep up with the latest technology awarded him one of the best technology coordinators award (http://www.uc.edu/profiles/bensiger.htm) by the University of Cincinnati for the year 2002.
