E-Ling Hsiao joined the Center for Instruction, Research, and Technology team as an Instructional Design Specialist in July 2008. Her responsibilities include assisting the faculty members in the development of on-line courses and providing guidance in a wide variety of instructional technology applications. E-Ling has a Master Degree in Education from National Changhua University of Education, Taiwan. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the instructional technology program at Ohio University. Her dissertation topic focuses on instructional design, cognitive load theory and visual literacy. E-Ling served as a Multimedia Specialist in Alden Library and a Webmaster and Marketing Assistant in the McNair Scholars Program while at Ohio University. Her ongoing research interests include cognitivism, problem-based learning, instructional design, interface design and visual design.
