Department of Criminology & Criminal Justice

Academic Advising

The advising process involves a relationship between the student and the advisor. While it is the advisor who guides the student through planning his or her academic path, the actual choices are made by the student. The advisor is not a boss, parent, or dictator, but more of a guide and helper. That means, that it is ultimately up to the student to plan his or her course of action. When the student meets with his or her advisor, he or she must be prepared. It is in that spirit that this page exists.

Undergraduate Scheduling Guide

The Undergraduate Scheduling Guide is provided to help students organize their plan of study. The Department will try to adhere to this guide when scheduling courses, but academic and budget demands may alter when courses can be offered. On-line courses will be offered on a slightly different schedule, but the guide can also assist Distance Education students.
