Academic Advising
The advising process involves a relationship between the student and the
advisor. While it is the advisor who guides the student through planning his
or her academic path, the actual choices are made by the student. The
advisor is not a boss, parent, or dictator, but more of a guide and helper.
That means, that it is ultimately up to the student to plan his or
her course of action. When the student meets with his or her advisor, he or
she must be prepared. It is in that spirit that this page exists.
