The Robert Noyce Scholarship Program
for Secondary Science and Math Education


The Noyce scholarship program will award scholarship recipients up to $10,000 per year to transfer students, second undergraduate students, and transition to teaching students. An additional $2000 scholarship is available based on financial need. Transfer and second degree students are eligible for up to 2 years of funding. Transition to Teaching students are eligible for a single year’s support. The scholarship funds can be used to cover expenses associated with tuition, fees, books, and on-campus housing. As you may be aware, graduates of the program are required to teaching math or science in a high needs urban school corporation, such as Indianapolis Public Schools, for at-least two academic years. Additionally, the program requires participation in co-curricular activities and includes training in problem-based learning.

To be eligible for the scholarship program, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

Transfer Students & Second Undergraduate Majors
• Overall GPA of 2.75
• Science & Math GPA of 3.0

Transition to Teaching Students
• must meet the program’s admissions guidelines

• An undergraduate degree with a major or two minors in a science or math licensure area
• Overall GPA of 2.75
• Relevant Experience in a science or math profession or experience working in a Middle or High School
