The event is held in the North Gym of the Health and Human Services Building on ISU’s campus. Please refer to the link for “Maps” in the left column for both Terre Haute and Campus maps.
Upon arrival to campus, stop at the 5th street (east) entrance to the building and turn on your flashers. You’ll see a big blue sign with balloons on it. There will be staff there to help you with unloading your display items.
Once you have unloaded, proceed to the North Visitor’s Lot (see maps) to park.
Please plan to arrive between 7:00 - 7:30 am. The lot will open at 7:00 am, but it will fill quickly thereafter. If the lot does fill, you will be directed to an alternate parking lot.
We will be asking for identifying business cards from each individual that attends the fair, so please have some available.
You may wish to wear layered clothing and comfortable shoes. The temperature of the building varies and the North Gym floor is not carpeted.
THERE ARE NO PRESCHEDULED INTERVIEWS. Students will begin arriving at 8:30 and are requested to bring copies of resumes and portfolios with them. From 8:30 – 10:00 you may prescreen and set up your own interview schedule(s) for the rest of the day with the LAST possible interview scheduled to begin at 3:10 p.m. Blank interview schedules are in the employer folder located on your table.
Please note that interviews should be scheduled for no more than 20 minutes each to allow all students an opportunity to participate fully in this event. By adhering to the schedule as closely as possible, all candidates are allowed ample time to arrive at all scheduled appointments.
Our staff is ready to assist with any question or needs and we can be identified by the yellow “HOST” ribbons worn with our name tags. Do not hesitate to ask!
We ask that you plan to stay for as much of the event as possible. Students plan their attendance around classes and student teaching assignments, and travel from campus to campus. It’s important that they have equal opportunity to visit with you.
At the close of the fair, please promptly take down your display. If you need help with shipping or loading your display, please inform staff at the check-in desk and they will secure assistance. If you park in the Visitor’s Lot, turn in the WHITE parking lot ticket along with the complimentary parking pass (found in the employer folder) when you leave for the day.
After the fair, student resumes will be available online by clicking HERE for ISU students or by clicking HERE for SMWC students.
Please do not hesitate to contact Martha Reed at 812-237-3806 if you have any questions or need additional information. See you soon!
