A Rural Training School six miles east of Terre Haute (near Glenn, Lost Creek Twp.) was added to the professional department A committee was appointed to begin acquiring land adjacent to the ISNS lot for construction of a training school building
The first letter "N's" were awarded to women athletes by the N Women's Association
March 24, Land was acquired at Seventeenth and Thompson Streets for the school's first athletic field, known as parson's field. Cost was $4,500. This tract was sold to the city for a park in 1909
The Training School Building was completed. The building housed the ISNS Model School and in 1936 was named Stalker Hall. This structure was razed in 1953. Cost $79,500. An Industrial Arts Department was formed and the College Course was organized during this year
The Dean of Women's Office was established. Martina C Erickson was elected to the position
The four year college course was added to the curriculum of the ISNS. Entrance and graduation requirements were drawn by a faculty committee to closely parallel those of Indiana University
Graduation from a commissioned high school in Indiana is required of all students seeking admission to ISNS. The first B.A. degrees were awarded to four students
The colors of Blue and White are recognized as school colors of the ISNS A second tract of land located on North Second Street was purchased for athletic fields. The site was also known as Parsons Field. Cost was $7,500
