Marcie has worked at Indiana State since October 1987. Most of that was part-time, as she watched her kids grow up. In 2006 she became a full-time employee. Her work in the Alumni Office is varied. In addition to normal secretarial duties, she’s coordinator of the ISU License Plate Program and the monthly Emeriti Luncheons. Marcie is involved with the planning on Homecoming and Reunion activities. She’s the first person you meet when you visit the Alumni Association. She enjoys watching sports, especially NASCAR. Her favorite driver is Tony Stewart…another Hoosier with an attitude. Marcie enjoys spending time on a quiet beach or in a loud casino full of slot machines. She’s been married to Tim Bays since August 1987. Tim graduated from ISU in May 1987. Her children are: Kyle (18), a cross-country runner at Terre Haute North, and Chelsea (15), a softball player who attends Terre Haute North as well.

I joined the ISU Foundation in August 2009 as the Alumni Affairs Coordinator.  My primary responsibilities will be to provide Administrative Support to the Executive Director and maintain the financial records of the department.

I’m a current ISU Undergraduate student working on my Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Development.  I hope to graduate in December 2011 and then begin working on my Master’s degree.  I graduated in July 2005 from IVY Tech with a Technical certificate in Nursing.  My work experience includes 15 years at Columbia House Company working as a Supervisor in the Call Center and I’ve been at ISU since November 2006.

I believe I inspire people to become involved in the life of ISU by promoting the wonderful support staff benefits of continuing your education, through the generous employee fee waiver program, we have the opportunity to obtain our degree and in return we can give back to ISU with providing paramount service to the students and the departments within ISU.

Jesse T. Hile joined the ISU Foundation in July 2007 as the Assistant Director of the Alumni Association.  He coordinates numerous alumni events, plans and coordinates all of Tent City during Homecoming, advises the Sycamore Ambassadors, updates the alumni website and social networks, and is a member of the database committee. He earned his bachelor's degree in recreation and sport management from Indiana State University in December 2005; and is currently pursuing his master’s in public administration. Jesse always attempts to inspire alumni, friends, students, and others by sharing stories about how wonderful Indiana State University is, and by discussing how much it has to offer. He truly believes that the current students of Indiana State University are very important to the University.  He said, "They are our future and growth of the University and it is everyone’s job to provide our students with the best experience and education a student could possibly ask for."

Jesse comes from a household of graduates of Indiana State University.  His mother, Jan (Bilyeu) Swingley, graduated from ISU with a degree in elementary and early childhood.  His father, Glenn Hile, also a graduate of ISU, teaches and coaches at Greencastle High School.  His older brother opted to go to Purdue, graduated with a degree in astronautical engineering and just finished his master's degree in astronautical engineering from the University of Dayton.  He is now a ballistics propulsion missile specialist and serves as Captain at Vanderberg Air Force Base in Santa Barbara, CA.  Jesse's younger sister is a senior at Indiana University and works in the Alumni Association.

Jennifer joined the Indiana State University Foundation in August 2009 as the Associate Director of the Alumni Association.  She is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Communications.  Prior to joining the Foundation, Jen, as friends call her, was employed with the Bemis Company where she worked in Human Resources, Training, and Education. Inspiring people to become involved in the life of ISU comes easy to Jen.  She says "her roots are firmly planted in Terre Haute" since arriving here 12 years ago.  She and her two sons Grant, 16 and Cam, 10, enjoy the excitement of the cultural and athletic events the university offers.
